Description
KC Rep's city-wide open call for YOUTH actors (ages 10-17; seeking strong singers/performers; BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists strongly encouraged) for A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Remaining in-person audition date: Tuesday, Sept 15, 2026, 6:00-8:00 PM at Kansas City Kansas Community College, 7250 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66062 (5-minute slots). (Two earlier in-person dates -- Sept 9 at Ruskin HS and Sept 10 at Allen Village School -- have already passed.) VIDEO submissions are also still accepted. Invited callbacks: Sunday, Sept 20, 2:00-5:30 PM, KC Rep Rehearsal Hall Rm 211, 4747 Troost Ave. ROLES (double-cast; each youth performs ~half the performances): Fan/Ensemble (11-13); Martha Cratchit/Ensemble (14-17); Peter Cratchit/Teen Scrooge/Ensemble (12-15); Belinda Cratchit/Ensemble (12-15); Tim Cratchit/Boy Scrooge/Ensemble (10+); Ignorance/Beggar (10+); Want/Beggar (10+); Turkey Boy/Ensemble (13-17). $500 stipend per youth cast member. Rehearsals begin Oct 27; performances Nov 21-Dec 24, 2026 at Spencer Theatre, UMKC (4949 Cherry St). Mondays are dark.
