Description
Summit Theatre Group presents "Who's Your Baghdaddy, or How I Started the Iraq War" — music & book by Marshall Pailet, lyrics & book by A.D. Penedo. Directed by Shelly Verden; Music Director Caleb McCarroll. A searing Off-Broadway musical satire framed as an AA-style support group for people who started the Iraq War; the cast includes CIA operatives, an Iraqi informant, and a BND operative.
AUDITIONS: Saturday, October 24, 2026, 2:00–6:00 PM at the STG Studio, 180 NW Oldham Parkway, Lee's Summit, MO. Prepare one 60–90 second contemporary musical theatre/pop/rock cutting (accompanist and Bluetooth speaker provided; bring clearly marked sheet music if applicable). Bring a list of anticipated rehearsal conflicts and, if available, a headshot and resume. Video auditions accepted through October 21 at 11:59 PM (upload field on the audition form). Callbacks: Sunday, November 1 at 4:00 PM, by director invitation only.
PERFORMANCES: February 5, 6, 12 & 13, 2027 at 7:00 PM; February 7 & 14 at 2:00 PM, at the STG Studio. Rehearsals begin January 4, 2027, typically Sunday–Thursday evenings.
